Measurement while drilling (MWD) is a technology that allows information about physical parameters in the area adjacent to the drill pipe screen to be transmitted to the drill operator at the surface in the process of horizontal or directional drilling. By receiving real-time data, the operator may drill continuously instead of interrupting progress for the purpose of taking measurements.
MWD Supply designs and manufactures tools, components and kits for use in this type of fossil fuel extraction.
A Universal Bottom Hole Orientation (UBHO) Sub is essentially a length of bent pipe situated between a stationary drill pipe and the top of the motor in the downhole end of a drill used to extract gas or oil from shale rock formations. Its function is to allow the operator to change direction of the wellbore without having to withdraw the entire apparatus in order to replace the whipstock. It may also be referred to as a mule shoe sub.
In addition to UBHO subs, we also provide mud pulse kits, gamma ray MWD kits and electronic junction MWD kits. All of our MWD products are thoroughly maintained and tested before we release them for use at your drill site.
